Last Monday (25/03), the Brazilian Association of Hematology, Hemotherapy and Cell Therapy (ABHH) attended the inauguration of the Advanced Therapy Center (Nutera), at the Blood Center of the University of São Paulo (USP), Ribeirão Preto campus. The “Clinical Study with CAR-T Cell Therapy” (CARTHEDRALL) was also officially launched at the time.
Already on Tuesday (26), he participated in an event in Rio de Janeiro at which the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) signed a collaboration agreement with Caring Cross, a non-profit organization in the United States, for the transfer of technology for the production of CAR-T cells and lentiviral vectors.
“There is public funding within the PAC da Saúde and this is a very important process because it has national technology for the development of CAR-T,” commented the president of ABHH, Angelo Maiolino, reinforcing the association's commitment to monitoring and supporting initiatives in favor of the advancement of technology in Brazil.
