This scholarship offered by The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), in the subspecialty of Pediatric Hemostasis and Thrombosis, is directed to Latin American doctors at the beginning of their careers, who wish to specialize in Pediatric Hemostasis and Thrombosis.
The program aims to promote knowledge and experience in clinical and laboratory methods of coagulation, and to introduce concepts related to clinical research in this field. The program will offer training for two years, which will take place at SickKids in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Incidentally, the occurrence and content of the second year of training will depend on the candidate's performance during the first year of the fellowship. For the entire duration of the fellowship, there will be night shifts (1 week a month, without the need to sleep in the hospital during them), covering cases hospitalized for thrombosis and hematology.
